Weddings are always so much fun and so exciting! And when it is your daughter, it is even more special. When we got to the wedding, Sonja was just adding some finishing touches. We didn’t see Matt or the groomsmen until the actual ceremony started. And Sonja didn’t seem all that concerned that the flowers had not shown up or the bartender or the DJ! I guess she just knew that it would all work out. And of course it did. It all fell right into place and it was beautiful!
I helped Madelyn get dressed and Tylor got himself ready. They both look absolutely stunning!
Love this picture of Miss Madelyn.❤️
At the same time, Sonja was getting her hair done by Des. She had a couple of trial updos that were complete flops and cost her way too much money. She finally decided to have her good friend Des do her hair and it turned out much better than the pros had attempted to do.
Mom and Teena were hanging out in the background watching the kiddos play. We all just wanted to be near Sonja too 🙂 Des also did Miss Madelyn’s hair. She definitely was very busy at the wedding. What an awesome friend.
While Sonja was getting ready, the flowers did show up and they were exactly what she had wanted. Obviously, it was not the nice sunny day that we were hoping for, but it was a beautiful outdoor ceremony and the best part was (as far as weather goes) that it didn’t rain. It had been raining almost every day during the past two weeks. So this was a good sign!
Once Sonja was finally ready, everyone made their way to their prospective seats and the ceremony began. The bridesmaids and groomsmen made their way down the aisle followed by Tylor and then, of course, the Bride. The multicolor flowers and shoes as well as the decorations of the lodge was all planned out by Sonja. She wanted it to be very colorful. I think it turned out great! Such beautiful ladies!
Love the multicolored suspenders! They also wore shoes that were multicolored as well. Awesome!
Love him!❤️❤️ Tylor did an awesome job as a ring bearer. Such a handsome little guy. Madelyn was the flower girl but she didn’t want to walk down on the wet grass! Such a princess!❤️ ❤️She takes after her grandma Cathy he he
And then the beautiful bride who was escorted by both Phil and David! So sweet!
Sonja and Matt did their own vows and they were both serious and hilarious! I loved the humor!
After the ceremony, Sonja and Matt along with the wedding team took the chair lift to the top of arctic valley to get photos (the chair lift was only open for 2 hours) while the rest of us had snacks to hold us over until dinner. So good!
They had some fun on the mountain and were soon headed down for the reception! The next photo was taken by one of the photographers and the one after that was taken by one of their friends. Way cool pictures!
At the reception, there were several toast made to the Bride and Groom, then we had an awesome dinner – I forgot to take photos being that I was focused on food ha ha. Sonja had photographers, so hopefully, I can post more pictures at a later date.
And then there was dancing…..
And finally, the cake! I didn’t get the bride and groom cake sharing pics either. Hopefully, there will be some that I can add later.
Looks so yummy!
The whole evening was a blast! Sonja and Matt really pulled it all together and made it very special for all of us. I am so glad my Mom, Teena, and Jose could join Scott and me for this amazing celebration.
And I’ll close for now with this random photo of us just entertaining ourselves while waiting for the Bride and Groom.
