September 1, 2016 Leave a Comment

Okay, the wedding and all the excitement is over. But the running continues….:) I had planned on doing the Skinny Raven Half Marathon that was scheduled on the day after Matt and Sonja’s wedding. Since Jose was here visiting, he decided to run the half with me! He runs regularly, but he had not been […]

Matt and Sonja’s Wedding

Weddings are always so much fun and so exciting! And when it is your daughter, it is even more special. When we got to the wedding, Sonja was just adding some finishing touches. We didn’t see Matt or the groomsmen until the actual ceremony started. And Sonja didn’t seem all that concerned that the flowers […]

August 4, 2016 Leave a Comment

I love track work-outs! And finally, I started speed workouts with this week’s marathon training schedule. The Virtual Trainer begins these workouts fairly light and then builds on them as the weeks go on. This week was interval training that started with a 1.5 mile warm-up at about a 9:30 pace followed by 800s X […]

June 28, 2016 Leave a Comment

I finished my 1st week of a 20 week NYC Marathon training program! And it went really well. I am so glad I signed up for the NYRR Virtual Trainer because I would have not run the type of mileage that was scheduled for me this week otherwise. I would have taken it a little […]

But, despite that look what she did! She is so talented and creative. She remembered Mom as someone who was always stylish. She took pride in her appearance.
